Bomb Scare On Carnival Cruise Line: Drunk Man Shouts "We are Jihad!"
Some people are just plain stupid. Others might have some modicum of intelligence but if you ply them with some alcohol they turn into blithering idiots. Of course, you'd be hard pressed to determine whether one was doing something stupid because they normally were that way, or whether the alcohol influenced their actions. But needless to say sometimes what people do, whether sober or drunk, has to be classified as truly moronic.

Take 31-year-old Ibrahim Khalil Zarou from Virginia. Ibrahim was part of a group of 12 people having fun in the sun on a Carnival Sensation cruise line just off of Florida. That's nice, some sun and warmth after a long, cold winter, and although Florida this year has not had a warm winter, it would certainly have been warmer than Virginia. The problem is on cruise lines you can eat and drink as much as you like. People usually overindulge on cruises, and apparently Ibrahim was one of those who took advantage of the unlimited drinks.
So, sometime Sunday morning a very intoxicated Ibrahim, and this is where the idiocy comes in, shouted on board the ship "We are jihad! Come to the top deck and watch the bomb". What?? Sorry, but that's an incredibly stupid thing to say for a Middle Eastern looking young male, in this post 9/11 day and age. Whether he was drunk or not, (which he obviously was) no-one in their right mind is going to listen to that and not tell ship officials. So supposedly one passenger did.
For his moronic behaviour Ibrahim was arrested, detained and questioned for a few hours. He was then released after authorities decided his antics were those of a drunk and not a terrorist. Luckily his bond was only $10,000.00. He's also lucky he wasn't fined for causing such a commotion, since the big guns were called in to search the ship. The FBI, Coast Guard and local police all spent several hours making sure there were no bombs aboard.
Hopefully, Ibrahim will have learned his lesson. Certain people should NOT drink.
