This is the first time in the history of Indian education that a chapter dedicated to the film Sholay is being included in the curriculum.

Sholay follows a chapter on films and filmmaking in the textbook on English language,
which will be included in CBSE syllabus of Class V.
Ramesh Sippy, the Director of the film sholay and his son Rohan Sippy are quite elated about the whole thing. The senior Sippy has expressed that the move taken by the educational authorities have given Indian cinema the justice that it deserves.
In addition to being a doctor or an engineer, your kid may now want to be a filmmaker too.
