The information and broadcasting ministry has ordered that all the films ready for release need not be put on hold for want of clearance from the animal welfare board.

The ordinance comes as a respite to filmmakers being harassed for using animals in their films.
The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting issued an order to Amit Khanna, the president of Film and Television Producers Guild of India Ltd, on the issue between the film producers and the animal welfare board.
