Bolivia's Evo Morales Says Consuming Chicken Can Cause Hair Loss And Impotence

It's not just religious clerics out of the Middle-East that say stupid things, politicians, from every country, open their mouths every day and make equally ridiculous comments. Hugo chavez comes to mind with all the bizarre inanities that spill from his mouth like verbal diarrhea. Then we have his buddy Evo Morales, President of Bolivia, who a while back touted the evils of coca-cola.
"It is harmful. ... Imagine what it contains."
Harmful? Coke, the drink, purportedly has a drugless version of coke, the plant, as its 'secret ingredient'. Which is breathtakingly hypocritical of him to be worrying about the beverage being harmful, considering Morales prior to becoming President was a coca producer and leader of a union of coca-growers. All that sugar is harmful but so is Seven-Up, or Doctor Pepper, or any other sugar-laden drink.
Like Chavez and other lefty Latin Americanos, Morales hates the West, so perhaps that's what he was referring to. Right.
Morales blamed "the west," a reference to industrial countries such as the U.S., which he said "bring us more and more poison."
So, after claiming Coca-Cola was evil, Morales is blaming the consumption of chicken with men's hair loss and virility. So, in other words, if you men eat chicken they'll lose their hair and become impotent. I guess he mustn't be eating chicken because a enormous mop of hair on his head, unless it's a wig, so I suppose he still also has his manhood.
Morales told an environmental conference that chicken producers inject the birds with female hormones "and because of that, men who consume them have problems being men." He also suggested eating too much chicken for too long could make men go bald.
The problem is, he doesn't have his information straight:
Morales' warning may be out of date: Chicken producers in Europe, the United States and many other countries say they abandoned the use of hormones in poultry several decades ago and many if not most Western nations ban them outright.
Chickens have other problems, including the amounts of arsenic used in their chicken feed, and potential for salmonella, but hair loss and impotence? There are health issues with use of hormones and arsenic fed to farm animals, but there has been a widespread effort to do away with it. Politicians need to get their information straight before they make fools of themselves.
