Blames on IN-LAWS after brutal Dowry Death
Ranchi, Oct. 22: Two days after a doctor was found hanging at his Ashok Ashram residence in Doranda, his father accused his wife and in-laws of abetting suicide.

Complainant Jata Shanker Jha approached the Doranda police this morning to register a case of suicide abetment against his daughter-in-law and her family, but was turned away on the ground that already a case had been lodged in this connection. Jha’s son Amit Anand hanged himself on October 20.
City police superintendent Sambhu Thakur said: “We could not keep Jha’s request. A case of unnatural death has already been registered. A proper inquiry is required to convert it into a murder case,” he said.
Amit, a doctor who was working with a private hospital in Delhi, had been depressed over his strained relationship with his wife Aparna Pathak. She had lodged a dowry case against him and his family. A few months ago, she filed for divorce.
