Bharat Bandh(national strike): Is it a political Drama to be fool the people?

POLITICS. .

July 5, 2010, was the day when almost all opposition parties in India observed a bandh(closing)in a protest against the growing price rise and inability of the central government to control it.Whether the bandh was successful or not,is a matter of subjective observation of different groups of people, but whether it was a genuine means to help people in fighting the price rise or opposing the central government for its failure to curb the rising prices,is really a big question.

First of all,is it really worth any thing to the common people if few hundred men and women belonging to a political party, who are generally jobless and are unable to do any other good profession, come on the road and start shouting slogans against the opposite party and in favour of their own leader and destroy the public property besides creating inconveniences to the ordinary people?

Secondly, will these parties ,who are opposing the price rise today, reduce the prices, certainly, if they come in power?Would these parties had not been doing the same thing had they been in power?

Thirdly, whether these parties who are stopping every one to do some thing (work or business)or from coming out of his/her home are stopping anything for themselves or their members? Ordinary people who are going here and there in search of job or for work face innumerable problems due to the bandh. The labourers, who are dependent on their daily wages, and the commuters(common man)who use public transport are the worst sufferers of the bandh and destruction of the public transport facilities. The persons who belong to the political parties do not have a work and wages problem and they do not need public transport because they get every thing from their party without doing anything worth counting except creating nuisance at the instance of their leaders and be loyal to them.

Why not the leaders of these political parties, who are opposing the government, stop their unnecessary expenditure for one day,i.e.expenditure on their unnecessary movement by saving petrol and diesel, expenditure on their air conditioners saving the electricity, expenditure on their breakfast and meals(one day take ordinary breakfast and meals)saving the huge money and food items, expenditure on their hotel stay and flight saving a very big money, and expenditure on their telephone and other enjoyments saving really a very big money etc etc(there are innumerable counts of expenditure of our respected blood sucker politicians). This money they can utilize on educating the people on various aspects of government policy including those affecting price rise and its control by going(visiting) to the common people of different part of the villages, towns and cities atleast once after winning(or even if aspire to win)the elections. If people are taken in confidence and properly informed, they may decide what to do with the government in next elections. But the members of the political parties are not actually concerned with the problem of people and do not have the patience to wait till the next election for their booty to come to them. They also do not have courage to face the people individually nor they have the qualification to go and ask the people to trust them. They can only shout when they are gathered or they can force themselves on the people by using their money and muscle power by purchasing the favour and support of some greedy and blacksheeps.
