Beware the New "Che" Film

Here we go again?

Is Hollywood about to turn out another white-washing romanticized depiction of the late murdering Marxist Latin American revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara? The Argentinian doctor turned Third World thug has behind the Cuban revolution tragedy and attempted to tarnish Bolivia with the same until he was deservedly killed by Bolivian troops (along with America's C.I.A.).

Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh directs Benicio Del Toro as a Che through his zealotry years from arriving as a star in the U.S. to the Cuban revolution, and of course his death.

The film, simply titled "Che", has been described the The New York Times' reviewer A.O. Scott as "epic hagiography." Don't fall for the saintlike depiction of "Che".

Here is the real "Che":

Che on Jesus: "In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm."

Che on Justice and Fairness: "We don’t need proof to execute a man. We only need proof that it’s necessary to execute him. A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate."

Che describing shooting an innocent man: "He went into convulsions for a while and was finally still. Now his belongings were mine."

But, don't worry, Che found time to confess his sins: "I’d like to confess, papa’, at that moment I discovered that I really like killing."

And, finally, I end with a story. During the Cuban revolution, Che ordered the death of a 17 year old boy who was accused of political subversion. When his mother, a Rose Hernandez, came to Che and tearfully begged for her son’s life, Che made her stand as he picked up the phone and called for the boy’s immediate death as his mother was then dragged tearfully away. This story was told in "Exposing the Real Che Guevara" by Cuban-American writer Humberto Fontova.

This is the real Che that dimwitted Hollywood "artists" won't make a movie about.
