"Believe not God is in your heart, child...
But rather you're in the heart of God..."
A friend once told me in a heated debate over my then-faithless state of being: "You lost your faith, and you’re hating me because I base my life on mine."

To believe or not to.(Be).This is the question re-ignited this memory in my mind..and my thoughts rushed to me once again..
When did religion become a tool to call others faithless?
When did care and love for others give you a platform to hurt them and taunt them…?
How did we descend from lovers and friends to strangers and enemies?
Why did we morph spirituality and belief into wedging gaps between those who have it and those who can’t find it, or just have another understanding of it?
When did our self respect vanish?
How have mistakes become so decisive and final..How have they become the drawing line between good and bad..When did they stop being mistakes, and began being who we are.
When did good and bad become unanimous with right and wrong?
Why do we pass judgments and translate them slowly into truths?
you were born together
and together ye shall be forever
until death should scatter
it wouldn't matter in the memory of God above
let the wind of heaven dance between you too…
just remember love possesses nothing
nor would it ever be possessed
oh love is love sufficient unto love
and you can figure out the rest…
your children will not be your children
they are the daughters and the son of a beginning
they'll come through your womb but not be coming from you
they will be with you but do not belong to you
you may give them your love but not your thoughts
then they'll arrive with their own hearts
they're the coming of angels this blessed season
and then they'll sing oh how God rests in reason
God rests in reason
think not you can direct the course of
love itself directs the course allowed
believe not God is in your heart, child
but rather you're in the heart of God
