Beauty And Jihad- Al Qaeda Publishes "Jihad Cosmo" For Women
In an effort to appeal to all the lovelies (of the female persuasion) affiliated with Al-Qaeda, they have now created what amounts to a 'Jihad Cosmo'. The 31-page glossy magazine (available online) is fashioned after Cosmopolitan magazine, and is apparently chock full of beauty advice for those married or aspiring to marry 'would-be' suicide bombers. Called Al-Shamikha (The Majestic Woman), it even has how-to articles on 'marrying a mujahideen', for all those single gals who dream of marrying a suicide bomber.

Peppered in with all the tips on the importance of keeping one's complexion clear (by wearing a veil and not venturing out of the house, unless absolutely necessary, and then only with their niqabs) are articles about the importance of breeding the next generation of jihadi. Then there are the interviews with the proud wives of the dead shahid, who are delighted their husbands butchered a bunch of innocent people, and I assume are happy they will get their 72 virgins as reward.
The magazine claims that martyrdom is the only way "the believer will gain security, safety and happiness." Sure, because they will be dead.
Of course, they need to woo the Muslim woman, because without their birthing abilities, they wouldn't have an endless supply of mujahideen. And what better way than appealing to them through a slick magazine that combines beauty and jihad. Hence the cover photo of a veiled woman and a gun.
For the next issue, the women can look forward to articles on how to take care of their skin, as though they need that advice since their flesh rarely sees the light of day, and handy lessons on electronic jihad. I can just picture it, mujahideen's wife sitting in front of her computer with her face covered in a pore-refining masque, chatting on Jihadi websites plotting their next major kill. Charming.
