Ban of burqa or a ban on culture

French government decision on ban on burqa comes as no surprise as it was in the cards for some time. French constitution has given the concept of liberty, equality and fraternity to the worlds. Many governments were inspired by the French revolution. The issue is highly controversial and very sensitive issue. The Muslim community is totally against these orders.

They feel that it is a violation of their rights and it is rightly so. There is conflict of interest of two cultures, the French who believe in freedom and liberty and Muslims who are conservative and cautious. French government argues that burqa acts as a obstacle in expression of freedom and creates a ghetto mentality. It is against the very principles of the French idea of liberty. Within Muslim community the voice has been spilt.

Some have welcomed the decision and others have objected to it. In a country like the France which is a multicultural society, it has come as a rude shock. The citizens have different view and opinions about this sensitive issue. The Muslim women who advocate burqa feel that wearing it gives them freedom of expression. But Muslim women who are against burqa say that it has put the woman in the path of suppression and isolation. burqa was not mentioned in the Quran. It was created by the human culture across the Muslim world to keep things tight. A fine of 150 Euros is being imposed who enforce or practice of burqa. This is just the start. it will spread like a wildfire to other European countries. Belgium is next and has been pondering for a long time. The issue is very sensitive and needs a dialogue and cooperation between the Muslim community and respective government. The Muslim women, who have been wearing the veil for so long and suddenly facing such a decision, would be in state of shock and anxiety.
