Bad Luck: For SRK or KKR or is it for Saurav?
The two governments clashed and poor SRK and his team got into a fix. As the cold war between India and Pak continues, the Pak players are refrained from playing in India, the IPL 2009 tournament. This would not have been a big problem for the King Khan but realizing that most of his contracted players are from Pak, he has to consider an alternative to them, which he has not done in a definite manner.

Though he traded in for some youngsters but is still somewhat confident that his favorites will be with him when the game goes on air in April 2009. Only the Pakistani player Umar Gul has been replaced by Australian Mark Cameron. It means something is going on with the PCB and the influential people associated with the KKR. While the BCCI is not officially pursuing the case, there are reports that there are talks going on privately.
This season is also important for Saurav as he leads the Kolkatta Knight Riders. He still can lead the team until his contract with IPL ends. Already retired from international cricket, Saurav must be willing to give some of his best games as a memento to the Indian Cricket, but lack of proper players may turn his dreams upside down.

The final blow (likely, hope there are no more opting outs from KKR) comes from Ricky Ponting, the Australian skipper. He opted out of the game quoting his commitments with other contracts. The reality indicates something different. As per what has been made public, there is ample quota for him to play international games. But nobody questioned him regarding why he is insisting on not coming to India.
The most probable reason behind this action is listed on most cricket fans’ blogs. They say that Ponting hasn’t recovered from the humiliation he suffered in India last year, when he lost the entire series with a duck to his name.
“No matter what happens, we are in a state to play and win”, say the officials of the KKR team. They may not be able to spend much on advertisements like they did last year, but they have their last moment options open.

And guess what, the cheerleaders for the SRK team are being selected on the basis of a NDTV TV show called “Cheerleaders” of SRK TV Productions! Who says SRK can suffer a bad luck?
