Ashvin Kumar-The director whose 'Little Terrorist' was nominated in the Oscar under Best Live Action Short Film category in 2005 is back again with his new project that is absolutely different.
Starring Nandana Sen, Ankur Vikal and Javed Jaffery Ashvin's new flick, The Forest mainly targets animal huggers and shows human infirmity when it confronts with the forces of nature.
The film starts with a young married couple going on vacation with hope that it will avert their divorce but they were so badly preoccupied in their anger that they even ignored signs of a man-eating leopard on the prowl.
Kumar says,
There are laws of society and nature. This is a film where both are violated. There's also a love triangle,
The Forest is an Indo-US-UK co-production and it is shot with an international crew. It is shot in India and Thailand. In addition, with this film Kumar is also trying to get into the commercial side of the filmmaking.
He further asserted,
I know the film will do well in multiplexes. I want it to do well in smaller towns and villages. I want a distributor who says yes,' says Kumar.
Now, the filmmaker is also planning a comical flick, which will mark his acting debut.
