Well, actually Pandey was eager to direct the flick himself but when Anupam heard the story during the making of 'Wednesday' he got fascinated.
Anupam asserted,
Bas, mera dil aa gaya. I wouldn't let Neeraj be until he gave it to me. Throughout the making of 'Wednesday', I badgered Neeraj until he finally relented,' laughs Anupam.
'Dosti Badi Cheez Hai' is a story that has an exceptionally fresh youthful look at friendship and bonding in today's circumstances.
And now, Anupam in conjunction with his old pal Satish Kaushik, who is co-producing the film, will direct the flick this January in cooperation with UTV.
