A totoal of 18 gms of purest quality hashish, called Manali cream, and 30gm of marijuana were seized in the raid at the residential apartment at Malwani. Not surprisingly, all the youth, who were aged 20-26, were from affluent families. One of the accused is said to be the son of a senior professor from Kolkata University and is the brother of a film writer for Bollywood.

Police suspect that the youth could be involved in supply of drugs to other people. The pipes seized from them were imported from Europe. When the police party reached the spot on getting information, one of the accused opened the door while consuming hashish. He had a hookah in his hand and the room was filled with smoke. They were listening to trance music at a high volume. The accused youth had some of the best quality hookah, which were meant only for drug consumption. These have to be imported from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and similar west European countries. Three hookahs made of stone were being used by the youth when the flat was raided. The trance music that the accused had for the party is said to be elitist. Other than this they had got props for dance and enjoyment at the party, which is said to be used in rave parties.

The BPO job is a high-stress job and life is reversed in such parties. But resorting to such parties is a danger trend. It can lead to many vices. Whatever the stress in jobs and at home, people should not resort to such drug parties, otherwise they will gradually slip into all the vices in the world. This is a worrying modern trend.
