Animal Cruelty- Cat Survives Being Glued To Minnesota Highway

There are so many sick people in this world; every day you read about the horrific things people do to fellow humans and to animals, and it makes you wonder what on earth is going on?

Any abuse is abhorrent, but the worst kind of abuse is animal and child abuse for the simple fact they are helpless and trusting. Babies have no way of protecting themselves, and look to their parents for support and safeguarding, and oftentimes it is those selfsame parents who harm their children. Like the Brazilian father who inserted 42 needles into his 2-year-old baby boy's body for the love of his mistress. What kind of evil is that?

On the other hand, animals can defend themselves by biting and scratching, but for the most part, if they are pets, they are trusting souls and usually much smaller than their owners, so the owner has the advantage. I have read some horrifying cases of animal abuse, and this one is just as terrible.

A cat was found on a Minnesota highway glued to the road.

A couple saw the cat on the side of the road and thought it had been injured by a car, the KSFY.com reported. But the cat was stuck, though its paw pads were ripped off by the glue when the couple removed him from the road, the site reported.

Members of animal adoption organization, Second Chance Rescue, expressed outrage at the treatment of the cat, which has been named Timothy.

"It's a mouth dropper because you are just like are you kidding me? But they did it," Rosey Quinn, member of Second Chance Rescue, told KSFY.com.

Timothy is currently with a foster family as he recovers. Second Chance members say he may be up for adoption eventually.

This is not a case of some person not having the means to take care of his/her cat, since there are plenty of adoption agencies that will try to find a good home for it. Gluing the cat's feet to a busy interstate highway so he couldn't escape and knowing full well he would inevitably be crushed to death is pure evil.

Thankfully he survived, and hopefully he will find a loving home. The little critter deserves it.
