And I Used To Envy Celebrities!

POLITICS. .

Being a celebrity is not a cakewalk, especially not in present scenario. I used to envy them for their fame, name and of course money, lots and lots of it so that they could buy anything they wished for, go anywhere they felt like without searching for the lowest price and that too after so much savings and impinges. I used to think that these Celebrities are so lucky, never having to look longingly at an object of desire but just buy it, well I am not ashamed to admit that I was wrong, completely so.

This revelation came to me when I saw the verbal lashing Sachin got from Bal Thackarey, just because he said what he felt and that too he was not criticizing anyone, far from it he praised Maharastra and than because he is an Indian a fact which no one can deny said he was an Indian first.

Why he got a public scolding just for saying the truth I am unable to fathom. Poor Sachin not all his celebrity status could get him the most basic and fundamental right given to us constitutionally. The Freedom of Speech". It must be bugging to think before every word you speak, takes away the spontaneity, you are not able to express your true view a right which even a most common man however poor is able to do. It is pitiable.

Than I was downright jealous of movie stars. I used to judge them by their movies how they were enjoying the exotic foreign locales and the parties and also the expensive cars and palatial houses, but I was wrong, they have to really really work hard to get these things, the loads of makeup, the unfriendly locales with searing temperatures, and when Amitabh Bacchan described the time it took to transform him to Paa a deformed old man with a mental age of a child and how he was unable to relax even a bit because of the fear of ruining his get up, it was pathetic, the multi-billionaire not able to relax and do what he felt like, what was the use of all this money.

These people have to be on their gaurd 24X7. Public appearances may bring them fame but to be striking a pose all the time, smiling even when you feel like punching that nosy reporter or overbearing admirer,I thank my stars that I don't belong to that category.

What is the fun in having everything and not able to enjoy anything, a walk in the park, a game with your kids, a romantic outing with your spouse or worse you can't even be sick or grieve privately. Really being a Celebrity is tough.
