Anambra, State Capital Was Set On Fire By Rubbers
Yesterday been Monday 24th, August 2009. A group of armed robbers set Awka the capital of Anambra state on Fire. These occur from 3.00pm and lasted for 30 minutes.

The robbers came from Ziks Avenue (Mr. Bigg’s) and started operation at Ukwu-Oji. They came with a different type of weapon including guns, machete etc.
The operation lasted for 15 minutes before Anambra state security were alerted. The rubbers keep firing gun for about 15 minutes none stop. Nigerian Army, Mobile Police, and other security agencies were invited to control the situation.
The robbery was controlled by the securities but they made their way with the money they stolen from Banks. The banks that were affected include: First Bank, Bank PHB and United Bank of Africa (UBA). Some of these Banks' prosperity where destroyed by the rubbers.
During the operation, a girl was shouting to dead. They fired a gun on her forehead and she died instantly. Because of the open fire by Mobile Police Men and other securities, they ran away and let two guys that later ran to unknown destination. After the operation, several weapons were pickup by the police men for investigations.
The fear in Anambra state is now much that Banks in Awka the state capital could not even open earlier today to attend to customers. What people keep asking is, are they safe? How does these people made their way?
Some question People ask and care to know about is: How can rubbery stop in a state? What can course one to engage in such act?
Bring more securities, will it solve the problem?
