Anambra Has Started their Master Plan
Anambra is now developing like Lagos State. All this development is invited by Governor Peter Obi administration. At Awka, the State capital, during Mbadinuju’s administration, Student of Nnamdi Azikiwe, demonstrated that they need a fly over at Unizik temporal site (tem-site) so that it will reduce the rate of student and other people that are die on Enugu-Onitsha Express way. The express their need by blocking the Formal President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo. Also at Onitsha, people of Anambra State demanded that a fly-over should be construct at new parts so that traffic jam can be controlled over their. Building of this fly-over is now under construction and soon it will be finish.

After five failures towards having master plans for the three main cities of Anambra State, history was on Thursday, May 28, 2009 made in the State with the presentation by the UN-Habit of the master plans for Awka, Onitsha (and its environs) and Nnewi (and its environs).
Presenting master’s plans at the Conference Hall of the Women’s Development Centre, the Director of Un-Habital Programme for Africa and Arab States, Dr. Aliounce Badionce, applied to the good people of Anambra State to be thankful to the State Governor, Peter Obi for making the structure plan a success.
Were he described Governor Obi as a genius and a visionary, Dr. Aliounce Badionce recalled how he came courageously to Nairobi and was able to convince the UN-Habital to prepare master plans for the states at 70 per cent less than what they should have cost.
The UN representative said then that the good thing about the master plans is that successive administrative would have no option than to key into Mr. Obi’s vision, love and desire for the best.
They affirmed that Obi has started the redemption work of the Anambra State, Badione called on the people of Anambra State to support the governor in the implementation of the plan even as he pledged the continued collaboration of the UN-Habit with the State.
That day, he called on the governor to set up implementing and monitoring team for the plan so that he can accomplish his goal for Anambra State.
In his remarks, Obi recalled how he met an unplanned state on assumption of office and how he went to UN-Habital in Nairobi on September 18, 2006 to solicit their help.
Now, Anambra Master plan is on and the development has started, in some parts of Anambra, construction of roads has started, expansion of roads has also started, starting from Ugwu-Oba to Tazian – Onisha, hospitals, school facilities and many more is now taking in place in Anambra State.
