Authorities say an adult and two teens face murder charges in the death of a 14-year-old who broke into an Illinois home and was shot by a houseguest.
Police say Travis Castle of Durand died after the shooting April 6 near the northern Illinois village of Stillman Valley.
Authorities say 16-year-old Nathan Whitmire and 15-year-old Justin Doyle broke into the home with Castle while 18-year-old Cody Wayne Moore waited in a car.
All three all are charged as adults with first-degree murder, home invasion and residential burglary. They are being held in lieu of $1 million bail each.
Ogle County Public Defender Dennis Riley declined to comment.
