Age of Fun: 40 Is Naughty But 50 Is The New 25
A new study in Britain has revealed that average 50 year old is having more fun than those half their age. A typical “nifty50” is more sociable and active than most 25-years old. They enjoy more night outs, travel more and catch up with friends more frequently. The study concluded based on a poll of 4000 people between 18 and 75.

Twenty somethings get caught in the stresses and demands of a job but in doing so let other parts of their life slip. The over-50s are setting the pace well ahead of younger counterparts. Being 50 is definitely the new 25.
The whole perspective of looking at age has changed. People are trying out new things with confidence and courage, no longer held back by societal inhibitions or expectations. Society too is changing, becoming less judgemental and more accepting than before. Health, fitness and longer life spans have also helped upturn old stereotypes about age.
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi at the age of 74 recently told a young lady reporter, “let me dust off my playboy skills.” Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin 58 is going to marry 24 years old gymnast Aliva Kabaeva .The French President Nicolas Sarkozy has married Supermodel Carla Brunei who is less than half his age. Our desi hunks like Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan are no less enterprising. It is the mental age that matters in relationships, they say.
‘Ageless Body, Timeless Mind’ is the mantra of present day retirees. That is why they believe age is now becoming a far more amorphous entity. Ask any old person what he wants from life and he will declare: “to stay young”. Today a 60 years old man says when my father was of my age, he was an old man. I am not; I am active and young at heart.
Right now emphasis is on lifestyle and socialising. At the mature age people have money and they don’t want to spend their old age in a room in care home, they want a good time, a more colourful life.
