Afghans on OBL's Death
President Obama announced the death of his nation's most wanted person with a smile, and confidence reflected in his face. However, not every part of the world received the message in the same ways as did the Americans and the Europeans. The South Asians particulary the people in Afghanitan and Paksitan have received the message differently.

In Afghanistan, political analysts, government officials proudly received the message as a confirmation of their claims that the Terrorist Havens are across the border in Pakistan and not in the villages, towns, cities and provinces of Afghanistan but in Pakistan as rhetorically voiced by President Karzai. In his address to a gathering he attended yesterday President Karzai asked the Taliban to seek a lesson from this event and put down their guns and join the peace process. He proudly asked NATO to stop its operations in Afghanistan once again. Similarly, members of Parliament, the Senate and former heads of DNS(Directorate of National Security) the Afghan spy agency strongly reiterated their claims that in addition to Bin Laden, top leadership of Al-Qaeda, Taliban, and Haqqani group still reside in Pakistan with the blessings of Pakistan's ISI and government.
The message of OBL's death brought a confusing response in the city of Kabul and elsewhere in the country amongst the public too. Whereas, the peace thirsty nation's youth hailed the American operaiton to hunt down OBL, some fundamentalists have condemned the killing and have started the process of personifying OBL as a hero. In fact, they have called for special prayers to be held in teh mosques and funerals be held for Bin Laden in the mosques in the southern provinces and tribal belt of Pakistan. At least one such funeral was also held for Bin Laden in one of Kabul's mosques located in the post township of Shahr-e-naw too.
With all these mixed reactions in Afghanistan, the larger portion of the public wish to see peace in their country and an end to the menace of suicide attacks by the Taliban and their associates.
