Afghan Taekwondo Takes the Toll
Taekwondo Federation of Afghanistan reported that Afghan Taekwondo players have grabbed four medals in a multi-national Taekwondo tournament in Iran.

The Federation’s announcement carries the name of four Afghan athletes namely Ziaullah Aimal winner of Gold Medal and the title of ‘Best Fighter’ of the tournament. Hassan Razaye winner of Silver Medal, two female Afghan participants Shafiqa and Humaira both winners of Bronze Medals in their respective groups.
These games were held in teams in which teams from South Asian nations and a few other countries participated.
Afghanistan has a good number of achievements in Taekwondo to be reckoned upon. The biggest of their achievements is the winning of Bronze Medal by Rohullah Naikpa in Beijing Olympics 2008. Mr. Naikpa’s achievement was taken as national pride by the government and the public equally.
In 2007 Nisar Ahmad Bahawi stood as the 1st in the Asian Championship.
Taekwondo, a martial arts game, is very popular in Afghanistan.
