Aamir not budging from his stand on Narmada dam
Aamir Khan rejected Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) demand of the actor apology for his remarks over the Narmada dam project, leading to a virtual ban in Gujarat on his latest flick "Fanaa".

The actor clarified that he spoke for the rehabilitation of poor farmers who lost their lands and he does not regret it, as there is nothing wrong with my statement.
Fanaa is not being screened in Gujarat, as the state's multiplex and cinema owners have decided to work in tandem with the boycott call given by the youth wing of the BJP and supported by the opposition Congress.
Amit Thacker, the BJP youth wing president in Gujarat, commented that any film starring Aamir Khan will be screened in the state only after he apologizes for his remarks.
