A Rape that Never Was

A loyal and loving wife,with a bootlegger of a husband,it seems that the husband's illegal ways brought him in the eyes of the Police.The Police naturally wanted to arrest the antisocial element,but was unable to do so because he had gone into hiding.

The next best option for the police was his better-half,so she was allegedly brought to the police station for interrogation. But here all the hell broke loose.The loving wife became a roaring,lying tigress. With no way out of the trouble his husband had landed himself in she cried rape.that too a gang rape with the SHO involved.

At this point the media jumped in.There was an elaborate coverage with media trial as usual and the four policemen were pronounced guilty without any court trial.The Police commissioner took immediate action and the four men were suspended.

Meanwhile ,the media felt left out.They telecasted the whole news over and over again that was described in details with sound bytes from anyone or someone even remotely connected with the female or policepersons.

Result,the gullible public woke up and took notice. When there is such rude awakening the common man suffers there was stone pelting and wide spread disturbance.Everyone took part in the whole play with glee,the media,the stone pelters, the shocked ladies.After all it was a gang rape and by whom,by the same persons who are supposed to take care and prevent and punish the culprits who do so.

But after due investigations the sordid story came out,not only the female was unable to recognise the guilty when there was an identification parade,she was also not consistent in her statement.She only wanted to save her husband and so she did what he told her to do.

It is a very serious allegation which has led to a major trauma in the lives of the policemen and their loved ones.The guilty should be punished accordingly.

But will now media behave responsibly and try to do some damage control still remains to be seen.
