A Mother's Love --10 Days With Dead Daughter's Corpse
It is rightly said that after God, the second place is occupied by mother, in fact he sends us on this earth because he knows that mothers can take his place.

A living example is this simple mother, Padarthi Mahalakshmi, of Pedana town in Krishna district, 60 km from Vijayawada. Her 40 year old elder daughter Ramana was mentally challenged and after death of her husband Nageswar Rao, 15 years ago Laxmi used to look after her single handedly.
She was so attached to her daughter that when she was diagnosed with abnormality Lakshmi had reportedly visited every known doctor in the town to bring her elder daughter’s health to normalcy. Unfortunately Ramana’s health deteriorated last month and she breathed her last a day before the Bhogi festival on 12 January.
The inconsolable mother refused to accept the fact that her daughter was no longer with her and refusing to part with her dead body she did not inform anyone of her death not even her second daughter Bhavani and did not allow anyone in her house a small two room tenement but tried to preserve the body for 10 days by keeping it on ice, changing the ice blocks daily.
But the neighbours got suspicious and informed the police who came and took away the highly deteriorated body forcefully with the poor mother trying to prevent them by hurling stones at them. Bhavani rushed to Pedana after some locals informed her. The local police along with the revenue officials took Lakshmi into custody and admitted her to hospital, while Bhavani performed the last rites of her sister.
Lakshmi was still wailing inconsolably in hospital on Friday night after losing her daughter, for whom she had dedicated her life for 40 years.
There is nothing I can add in this writeup except pay my homage to this mother with folded hands and a prayer that may God give her strength to cope with her loss.
