A handful Of Mugabe's Lies
Mugabe continues to peddle his lies - no matter that they have been largely disproved or exposed for the untruths that they are.

1. He claims to have been voted into power in 2008. The truth is that his party visited so much pain and suffering on the people of Zimbabwe that Morgan Tsvangirai pulled out of the second round of the election, thereby, allowing Mugabe's 'one man sham' election...
2. Mugabe and his loyalists claim that Zimbabwe is the subject of 'illegal economic' sanctions, and that these measures have contributed to the collapse of the Zimbabwean economy. The truth is that the Zimbabwean economy has collapsed because of ZANU PF mismanagement. The country was, at one time, able to feed itself and export the overflow. The landgrab put paid to that. The once heavily productive agricultural sector now barely produces anything. The country was able to make more than enough money from mineral and gem exports, but the Mugabe party has made this their own domain, the money being syphoned into personal wallets.
3. Mugabe's health has, for many years, been a problem area for Zimbabweans. he is so paranoid that the truth will probably never be known. His frequent - and expensive - trips to Singapore under the guise of a cataract operation on his eyes just doesn't pass muster.
4. The mass grave 'discovered' in Mount Darwin is a total and utter lie - but that doesn't stop Mugabe and his apologists from churning out their version of the truth. The bodies are much newer in the grave than thirty-plus years, this conclusion being reached by the presence of soft tissue, hair and bodily fluids in the corpses, but ZANU PF prefer to continue - against a court order - to exhume the bodies and intend to bury them in a mass grave nearby with a party memorial. They will never be identified - which I would have thought would have been a priority - but are just a stepping stone in the lie being spun to the population.
5. Mugabe signs all manner of agreements with other countries and with the other political parties in the country, and then, once the dust has settled, he works in direct contravention of those agreements. The Lancaster House Agreement of 1979, the Power-Sharing Agreement of just two years ago, various BIPPA agreement... It makes no difference to him.
6. His refusal to stand by the choice of the people to have Roy Bennett sworn into cabinet. Instead he says that the persecuted farmer must settle all outstanding criminal charges against him. Mugabe is not standing by his own words, but that is nothing new.
7. Mugabe claims that Zimbabwe is a democracy. Far from it. The people have no freedom, whilst ZANU PF are permitted to do just about anything from public beatings to murder and anyone reporting these crimes to the police is arrested themselves and prosecuted for some obscure 'crime'. Mugabe also claims that Zimbabwe is a sovereign State, but complains when he is unable to travel around the world at will – but deports people at will from Zimbabwe.
Mugabe believes it is his God-given right to lie to the world. And for some unknown reason, he actually believes that his lies are believed.
Total hypocrisy!
