A "Greater Iran"- Radical Iranian Cleric Wants To Rule The Middle East
Watch out Middle East and Central Asia, if Iran's Ayatollah Mohammad Bagher Kharrazi has his way, you will all be ruled by Iran some day. At least that's what he wants, to create a "Greater Iran". Granted he's a nominal hardline cleric, with not much clout, but he is the leader of the Hezbollah political party (Party of God) and one never knows what could happen in the future. Who would have thought Palestinians would have voted in Hamas in Gaza, and yet they foolishly did. In the meantime, one can laugh at the potpourri of crackpots that comprise the Iranian government from their president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to all their wacko mullahs including Kharrazi. Although it doesn't become so funny when you realize these leaders almost have their hands on nuclear weapons, and would have no problem using them.

There's a reason for this "Greater Iran" plan of his:
He also said its formation would be a prelude to the reappearance of the Mahdi, a revered ninth-century saint known as the Hidden Imam, whom Muslims believe will reappear before judgment day to end tyranny and promote justice in the world. The Hidden Imam (Islam's messiah) is a popular myth believed by many including Ahmadinejad."The Islamic United States will be an introduction to the formation of the global village of the oppressed and that will be a prelude to the single global rule of the Mahdi," the Hezbollah newspaper quoted him as saying.
Kharrazi plans on implementing his plan for an "Islamic United States", if his party wins the elections in 2013. Not that anyone believes they will. Then again, Hamas won. And apparently he's not alone in his radical thinking.
Kharrazi's comments reveal the thinking of a growing number of hard-liners in Iran, many of whom have become more radical during the postelection political crisis and the international standoff over the country's nuclear program. Kharrazi, however, is not highly influential in Iran's clerical hierarchy and his views do not represent those of the current government.
Who would be part of this greater Iran? He is hoping to rule from Afghanistan to Israel, which of course would mean goodbye Israel. And Israel isn't the only one targeted for destruction. Nope, he also has his sights on non-Jews as well including secular Arabs (Iraq's Baath Party) and Wahabists. That's right Saudi Arabia, say bye-bye. In other words, anyone who doesn't practice his type of Islam would be eliminated. It's revenge of the Shiites, who are often targets themselves. Yes, such loving, peaceful souls they are.
There are foolish, ignorant people in this world who believe that Iran is not a potential threat, and perhaps it won't be if the people are ever able to throw out the leading mullahs and the radicals. But apparently even Ahmadinejad implied they are a threat:
Still, even President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that he expects the government which follows his to be "ten times more revolutionary."
All this talk, and then witnessing what is currently going on the the Middle East, just makes one realize the violence in that region is not going to end any time in the near future.
