26 January 2010 -- India celebrates its 61st Republic Day
I was all in cleaning my home and suddenly a naughty kid from my neighbor-hood came in n said "didi aapne jhanda(Flag) nahi lagaya" -- ye lo aap bhi laga lo. He gave one of the flag to me n greeted di "Shubh Gan-tantra Divas". And that moment took me completely aside from my work, memorizing my school days where we all students used to celebrate Republic Day with whole of enthusiasm n with patriotism.

Aah! They were such wonderful days- getting up early in the morning, dressing ourselves in the N.C.C uniform n making perfect our speeches, the march walk then in school running from principle's room to the school-ground making all preparation of celebrating The Republic Day.
Those were the moments of experiencing of true Patriotism in the heart without any corruption neither in our mind nor with any worldly so-called tensions.
I remember i used to buy lots of Flags n give to each of my school friends. Those loud Patriotic songs used to fill some strange feeling in our hearts leaving all our caste, creed, relation aside n making us feel the belonging-ness.
It really feels proud to be an Indian. There are so many problems, so much of corruption, so much of caste divisions, etc. but at such days everyone is seem to be colored in one color and that is Color of respect n Patriotism.
Today on 26th jan, 2010 India is celebrating its 61st republic Day with more enthusiasm and respect all over the country and especially in the capital, New Delhi where the celebrations start with the Presidential to the nation. Where the beginning of the auspicious occasion starts with the solemn reminder of the sacrifice of our soldiers who died for the country and succeeding wars for the defense of sovereignty of their country during the Freedom Movement.
But I even feel sorry sometimes when people don't understand the importance of this day n takes it as a normal day. Even i feel sorry when our youth doesn't come up with their share; it really sets my joy to dismay.
But at the end I am an Indian and i am very proud that at-least children s of our country are not affected in their respect towards nation.
M still humming the so called national song-- "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara Toh Sur Bane Hamara...."
By the way this song is really refreshingly brought-up on this Republic Day. Worth watching!!
At the end will just say "Jai Hind" and a Happy Republic day to everyone. :D
