200 Cows Mysteriously Drop Dead
AP.
It is less than a year until 2012. And I am getting suspicious. I used to casually dismiss the Mayan prophecy. Maybe the Mayan foresaw some events through lunar monitoring. They may have advanced to that level of astronomy and could predict, say, a solar eclipse. And I always kind-of believed that maybe there will be some cool alignment of planets. But I never have and do not still believe that the Mayans saw the end of the world. No human being can.

But certain events in recent weeks have raised some suspicions on my part. Animals are randomly dying in an (as yet anyway) unexplained and inexplicable situations. What is going on? I have seen this movie: the birds start to fall from the sky and the next thing there is a huge wave demolishing New York.
Birds, fish and so many more as just dropping dead:
"In another in a bizarre series of international animal die-offs, thousands of gizzard shad have been turning up dead along the Chicago lakefront in recent days.
The three- to five-inch fish, members of the herring family, were dying in droves, frozen in chunks of ice or simply going belly-up in open water."
"Wildlife experts are trying to solve a mystery that evoked images of the apocalypse: Why did more than 3,000 red-winged blackbirds tumble from the Arkansas sky shortly before midnight on New Year's Eve?"
"The Portage County Humane Society is trying to figure out what caused 200 cows in the town of Stockton to die."
What is causing this all this? The nearing of the apocalypse? Are these omens? Nay, to say that Mayan sources are apocryphal is to pay them an unfunded respect.
Remember what a comedian once said, the Mayans could not even see Columbus ending their civilization.
