Police say a boat carrying people to a wedding in India capsized and authorities fear that 19 people are dead.

Police officer Prakash Sonar said Thursday that 10 bodies have been recovered and nine people are still missing. The boat sank near the central Indian city of Pune.

Sonar says the boat was apparently overloaded. The officer says that nine people managed to swim to safety.
