The Minister of Social Affairs in the Gaza Stripe has issued a report that documents that in Israel's most recent assault on Gaza, Israeli Defense Forces left 437 Palestinian children dead and 1872 wounded.
Further, Israel killed at least one parent of 1346 children. The assault left over 900 Palestinian civilians dead.
Israeli sources state that "only," they were perversely proud of this fact, about 290 Palestinian civilians were killed.
Why the disparity between the 900 and 290 numbers? Because Israeli officials count every singly Palestinian male as a combatant whether he is a 2 month old baby or a 80 year old man. For Israel and its propagandists, who demonize Arabs as inferior humans, every Palestinian male is a terrorist. Palestinian men are never, according to Zionists; sons, fathers, brothers, or husbands. They simply lump them all together so as to justify their killing.
Human rights groups that interviewed Palestinian children report how they stood by the dead bodies of their parents for days as Israeli occupation troops prevented medics from entering towns. Human rights groups report how the children have been traumatized.
Anne Finman of the UNICEF stated that in March she visited a UNICEF Psychological Support Center and the Red Crescent Society in Gaza where she witnessed children drawing missiles that targeted their homes; one child drew a dark area under her drawing and said that this is “a place for burying the dead”
