Encourage Kids To Show Their Talents in Science Exhibitions: Minhaz Alam

“All children are talented.We should encourage them for the participation in the science exhibitions.Science exhibition is the best medium for the search of child scientists.”said as a Chief Guest,Minhaz Alam,Additional Secretary,Human Resource and Development Department,Government of Bihar,in Patna on Tuesday.He appreciated the beautiful scientific models of child scientists from different schools of Bihar on the occasion of the inaugural function of Children’s Day and 38th State Jawahar Lal Nehru Science and Population Education Exhibition (30 November and 1 December,2010) at the SCERT campus at Mahendru in Patna.

Hasan Waris,the Director of SCERT,Patna welcomed the students and their teachers.The main topics of this two days exhibition was
“Science and Technology For Challenge in Life”.Sub –topics of this exhibitions were : 1.Biodiversity Conservation,2. Agriculture and Technology, 3. Green Energy, 4.Transport and Communication, 5.Community Health and Environment,6. Mathematical Models.Some of the most eminent judges of this exhibition were : Prof. S.P.Verma (Department of Physics,Science College,Patna), Prof. M.P.Trivedi and Rashmi Komal(Department of Botany,Science College,Patna),Dr Naveen(Bihar State Pollution Control Board,Patna), Vijay Kumar Singh (High School,Bodh Gaya,Gaya)and Pushpa Jha(Boys High School,
Lal Bahadur Shastri Nagar,Patna).

Some of the most appreceated child scientists and their models were:Priyanka Kumari(Prabhawati Gupta Kanya High School,Motihari),
Gaurav Kumar Jha(High School,Koilakh,Madhubani), Gunanand Jha(Tirhut Academy,Samastipur),Abdul Kalam (DAV High School,Siwan)and Sudhanshu Raj (Har Prasad Das Jain High School,Ara).On second day lectures on Biodiversity were also delivered by Dr R.K.Sinha(Depatment of Zoology,Patna University,Patna and ‘Green Energy’ by Anuag Kumar,Diector,Shrikishna Science Centre,Patna).All best child scientists were awarded by K.K.Sinha on December 1 for their best model presentation in the exhibition.
