The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday has taken over the charge of investigation in Nithari Killings from the Uttar Pradesh Police.

CBI Director Vijay Shanker said that

we have received a notification from the Union government asking us to begin a probe into the Nithari killings.

Earlier, the politics was going on the Nithari Killing incident. The blame game in the political circle had been started on the matter of beginning of CBI enquiry. The political leaders are visiting Nithari to get the popularity and people’s attention to cash it in upcoming elections.

Four days before, the Chief Minister Mulayam Singh had announced for the CBI probe demand from the Central government. He reportedly had done this under the mounting pressure from all directions.

After the four days of announcing for the CBI probe by the state government, the blame game had begun. The Central Government said that the notification they had received was not properly formatted and it needs in a proper format.

While the state government were alleging that the Central government was simply holding things to gain political weight and trying to malign state government in UP.

The Samajwadi party leader Amar singh said that

the UPA government is politicising the Nithari killings. I want to know where the CBI is. I am deliberately asking this after four days of us announcing a CBI probe because I know that the Centre has taken no action.

On the other hand, the Central government was continuous saying that it received no notification for a CBI probe from the Uttar Pradesh government until Tuesday. Further, the letter it received was not in a proper format.

The process takes only one day to start the CBI probe in any matter, but in this case four days have gone and nothing happened. Now the political game has begun with the state blaming the Centre and vice versa.

The UP Home Secretary, R N Srivastava said that

we had sent in the letter on a Saturday, a weekend, so the Centre will only be able to process it on Monday.

It has been clear yet that the political game had been started and every political party is just eying on the coming Assembly elections in the state. Who cares of the families who lost their kids to the dreaded killer in Nithari?
