The bullet-riddled dead body of senior Baloch Student’s Organization (BSO) leader, Qambar Chakar, was found in a desolate place near Pasni Road in Turbat, around 800-kilometers off provincial capital, on Wednesday.
Local people spotted his body in Pidarak area, some 11-kilometer away from Turbat city, and informed the police. His body was taken to Civil Hospital Turbat where he was identified as Qambar Chakar, Deputy-Organizer of Baloch Student Organization-Azad Shal-zone.
“Qambar had received multiple bullet wounds and his body bore marks of tortures and also soaked with blood,” hospital sources said.
Qambar Chakar, 24, was whisked away near his residence in Shahi Tump area of Turbat on November 27 last and since then he was listed missing.
He was the most prominent leader of the Baloch Students movement in Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITMS) for the induction of a district-based quota system for admissions. He organized protest rallies, marched in front of the Governor’s House and Chief Minister’s House and also observed hunger strike for the rights of the Baloch students.
Qambar, his friends said, was a well educated Baloch leader who did not only speak a fluent English but also spent much time reading history and literature books. He was admired for his communication skills and vast network of contacts in the media and political circles. In addition, he was recognized as a cogent orator.
Qambar’s family has accused security forces and secret agencies for his extra judicial arrest and killing him during their illegal custody. The family members had been persistently demanding that they be produced before a court of law if they had committed any offence.
Qambar, 24, was a resident of Turbat and enrolled in University of Balochistan and Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) in the Economics Department. 
A spokesman of the BSO-Azad claimed that security forces were directly involved in the killings of political opponents.
It may be mentioned that Qambar Chakar was arrested last year by paramilitary forces on the charges of carrying hand grenade and a pistol and he was later produced before the court. He was leading the movement against discriminating the Baloch students in getting admission in the IT University for years. Baloch students denied admission in the IT University on parochial basis, he always told newsmen in his Press briefing.
The Baloch nationalist parties, including Baloch National Movement, BSO-Azad called for a shutter down and wheel jam strike in Mekran Division to condemn the killings.
